Maria Miller MP for Basingstoke visited Instavolt’s newly expanded headquarters based in Chineham Business Park and met the car charging network’s boss Adrian Keen.
Maria said, “Instavolt is another thriving Basingstoke businesses having recently expanded their premises in Basingstoke to meet the needs of its growing workforce. Instavolt now employs more than 100 people up from 44 people in 2022, bringing more skilled and highly paid jobs into Basingstoke”.
Instavolt provides EV public charge points and has 1,250 charging points making it the largest network of public charging points across the UK and the first EV public charging point company to introduce contactless payment.
Maria added, “It was good to hear Instavolt’s ambition to have 10,000 charging points by 2030, ensuring at the same time that their network continues to be well maintained and reliable.
"Basingstoke employers have changed in the past 2 decades from large multinational corporates to small and medium sized firms like Instavolt who are rooted in our local community. That is why Basingstoke remains one of the top employment centres in the south east and the economic powerhouse of Hampshire."
