Maria joined Andwell’s owners, Adam and Helen Komrower, at the new Brewery, together with family, friends and the rest of the team, to cut the ribbon on the steel walkway above the new brewplant and fermenting vessels. A plaque commemorating the opening was also on view.
Maria said: “This is an exciting time for Andwell’s. I am delighted to be able to open their new premises and support another example of entrepreneurial vision and high quality manufacturing in the Basingstoke area.”
Maria highlighted the importance of local produce, saying: “The fact that Andwell’s supply their beers to some 400 pubs, restaurants and other outlets within a 40 mile radius shows quite clearly that manufacturing quality local produce can have a really positive effect on other businesses in the area, because of the huge interest in local food and drink.”
