MP Maria Miller visited NHS Inclusion Hampshire who provide Drug and Alcohol recovery support in Hampshire.
Maria met with Jane Wilcock, County Manager and the team of professionals working with Inclusion to support recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
Maria commented; “ It was a great to meet with Inclusion and see the comprehensive , wide ranging support they provide for people and families suffering from addiction and the effects of addiction. The team cover a huge area and offer such tremendous support throughout the county. We discussed a wide range of issues from County Lines, alcohol addiction and the effects on health and families. The pandemic saw an increase in addiction and those seeking support.”
Inclusion has completed treatment for over 3,600 clients since 2015 with 2750 clients currently in treatment. Inclusion also provide support to families and children affected by drug addiction and encourages past clients to become volunteers.
Maria added;
“We can never underestimate the effects addiction has on health, families and the wider community. Jane and the team deserve our full hearted support in all they do.”
