MARIA VISITS M3 JOB CLUB
Last week, Basingstoke MP Maria Miller visited the M3 Job Club located at Basing View. Maria was welcomed by Richard Thayer, who set up the Job Club in April, and heard from him about how the Club aims to help people who are unemployed get back into work. She then met members of the Job Club and responded to their questions to her.
Maria said: “I really applaud Richard for setting up this Job Club. Job Clubs are a great way to help people looking for work make the most of local knowledge and resources. They provide a place for people to meet and make contacts, exchange skills and get the support they need to get back into work.”
Maria added: “I hope that local business will get behind this initiative. There are skilled people with vast management experience at the Job Club who are looking and are available for work.”
The M3 Job Club meets every Friday, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, at the Innovation Centre, Norden House, Basing View.
