Basingstoke MP Maria Miller called to meet with David Ayre at ACG Architects for an update on the plans to replace the old pavilion with an exciting new building.
Maria said: “I was very interested to see the architects’ plans for the new pavilion, and it would be fantastic to have an iconic building like this in the centre of town. The building would also provide new facilities, including community space and much needed female changing facilities, enabling more girls and women to participate in sport at this location. It will also provide conference facilities.
“The Chairman of the Basingstoke Sports and Social Club and his Board are working hard to get the funding for the building in place, with national sporting bodies and other organisations expressing interest, and I wish them well with this.”
