Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, has welcomed £515,000 of funding from the Government to help improve facilities at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCOT).
This investment will go towards the installation of overcladding on buildings on the south site of the college campus.
Across the country the Government is investing £110 million which will be matched with £302 million investment from colleges. This is part of over £1 billion of investment in college building across England.
Maria commented: “This investment will help to continue the programme of improvement at BCOT, ensuring that it is a state of the art facility for Basingstoke students.”
“This funding shows that the Government’s commitment to enabling students to grow and flourish in an exciting, inspirational, modern learning environment in the heart of the local community, whilst equipping them with the skills they need for the work place.”
