Basingstoke’s voluntary sector or not-for-profit organisations can apply now for their share of more than £350 000 of new Government funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund which provides £2.6 billion of funding across the country.
Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke said, "This new funding means Government is continuing to support local community organisations in Basingstoke through grants for schemes that improve pride in our Borough and increases the life chances of local residents.”
Organisations can apply for funding for projects and activities that have a clear social and economic benefit for residents and projects that have a real community need.
£363,041 has been allocated to Basingstoke’s Pride in Place Fund for the period 2023/24 and 2024/25 made up of £181,900 of capital funding and £181,141 of revenue funding. Organisations can apply for up to £25,000 of grant funding.
Maria added, “Applications can be for a mixture of capital and revenue funded projects depending on the type of projects and activities that are hoping to be delivered. Schemes that will help showcase and enhance the heritage of the borough or activities that will help improve physical and mental wellbeing are just some of the many possible activities that could benefit from the fund”.
